El sábado comenzará el Apertura 2008
Juventud Nacional y Defensor Sporting Cerro abrirán la nueva temporada del fútbol profesional uruguayo de primera división. Completarán la fecha: Tacuarembó - Bella Vista, Villa Española - Liverpool, Rampla Central, Racing River, Cerro Largo Danubio y Wanderers Peñarol.
El clásico se disputará en la antepenúltima fecha. Todos las fechas se jugarán durante los fines de semana. Habrá dos recesos debido a la participación de la selección en la etapa preliminar del Mundial 2010.
El Apertura 2008 habrá de finalizar el domingo 14 de diciembre, siempre y cuando no haya necesidad de disputar una final.
